We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data models that effectively capture, integrate, and display complex ESG data sets to support the sustainable finance team. In light of the recent Sustainable Finance Regulations, ABN Amro Clearing has the requirement to source volumes of sustainability related data, which needs to be modelled into the existing data systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating business needs into technical solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and optimizing data management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data analysis and business intelligence.
- Analyze and interpret complex ESG data sets to identify patterns and correlations.
- Collaborate with business analysts, reporting team and IT teams to gather business/regulatory requirements and understand data usage.
- Ensure data models are scalable, efficient, and align with the overall architectural framework.
- Optimize and update existing data models to enhance performance and functionality.
- Document data modelling processes, including data flow diagrams and data dictionaries.
- Implement best practices in data modelling and data management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data modelling technologies and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data modelling, data warehousing, or database design.
- Proficiency in data modelling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, IBM Data Architect, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
